Reframed

Reframed is a game about reflecting on the sacrifices parents make to create fairy tale childhoods for their kids. Our game is based on the story of one of our developer's parents sneaking out to steal a tree when they were unable to afford this Christmas centerpiece in order to preserve that holiday magic for their family. Reframed is designed to be comprised of multiple chapters: a present day scene of a college student visiting their home and reflecting on past Christmases, a flashback to that students childhood magical perception of Christmas, and a flashback of their parents financial struggles and hunt for a tree in order to create the fantasy the child lived through. An ambitious project, as it stands, our current version includes the first chapter of exploring one's home and the memories embedded in the little things.
